Matchmaking Details:

Roy has suggested a simple 5% matchmaker split for partners considered the matchmaker at this event (tracked via their unique promo code).

  • So if Acme Shoes used Hank’s promo code and then Acme hires another partner, Hank would get 5% of the Acme Shoes billings.

The promo code flags a given company for 90 days. In other words, we’re not going to cross-check this promo code list in perpetuity, just 90 days. It’s there to reward partners for sending people, not to create a new permanent wrinkle in things.

  • So if Acme leaves the event and officially hires a partner a week later, then Hank gets 5%.
  • If Acme hires a partner 6 months later or 6 years later, we’re considering that a cold lead that was warmed up without Hank —Hank does not get 5%.

At the end of the day there may be one or two weird things that get thrown at us but the partners have each others’ backs and work well together. We’ll have a great opportunity to tidy up any surprises on the first day of the partner meeting.
